About Best Power Tools

Hallo, my name is Stuart and I use power tools every day as part of my job. Power tools are a great alternative to using hand tools and a worthwhile choice for large scale projects. Jobs can be completed in a fraction of the time using a fraction of the effort.. With power tools you can cut, grind, shape, drill, sand, screw, saw and polish.

A power tool can be powered by an electric motor, air motor or petrol. Power tools can be divided up into two categories: portable (normally handheld) or stationary (usually heavy duty. Compressed air is the most common power source for nail guns and paint sprayers and power actuated tools (PATs) are powered by explosive cartridges

Stationary power tools are valued for both their speed and accuracy, making short work of complex tasks. An electric motor is usually the choice for power driven stationary tools, whereas portable tools tend to be either corded or battery powered. However, there are limitations to battery powered power tools, for example, the limitations of battery life, energy capacity and of course cost.

The recent launch of high voltage lithium-ion battery technology has opened up a new realm for corded users, making it possible for them to eliminate some of the cords and increase productivity on the job.

When choosing the correct power tools for your needs, special consideration should be taken on how often you plan on using the tool. It is false economy buying a cheap model when you plan to use the tool regularly. On the other hand, it is unnecessary to purchase an expensive tool when you plan on using it only once a year. Generally speaking the more expensive the tool, the more features it has and the more hardwearing it is.
